as an artist, my mind is

trapped in a constant run,
a chase for inspiration,

a reach for an idea.
i, alone, am my harshest critic,
with skyscraping standards.

when things go wrong,
i feel unaccomplished,
a failure in deep desperation
whilst my artistic form

stands behind a thick,

dark barrier,

observing patterns as
i contemplate.

boxed away in-between,

are my absurd thoughts,
tight and shielded.

there, my mistakes

are brushed away

and reformed
into the cycle

that runs alongside

with being an artist.
